Lorraine Avery

Printmaker

Lorraine uses both traditional and non-traditional processes and materials in her work, which has a lovely softness and subtlety about it. The painterly qualities in her prints and artist books are achieved using carborundum & collograph techniques, and she often employs chine-colle & stitching as well. Lorraine’s inspiration comes from her interest in archaeology and history after travel to various sites in Europe and Asia.
