Mixed Media Artist

Kim is a local artist who works abstractly with oils, acrylics, found objects and textiles, examining the potential of different materials and repurposing discarded objects in order to breathe new life into them. This desire to salvage and reinvent comes from the many years Kim spent as a public school teacher, working with limited resources and using whatever was at hand with her students. Kim embraces the age and the flaws of the materials she uses, as they reference a history that continues to resonate through her work.
